The drying routine, which matters most: Empty the collection chamber right after use. Rinse the nosepiece and the umbrella valve. Then run the Pro on level 5 for three minutes over a sink. That last step clears moisture out of the inside, and it is the single thing that decides how long the unit lasts. Do it every time.
Cleaning, part by part: The nosepiece and the umbrella valve can go on the top rack of the dishwasher. The foot and the hose are hand-wash only. They are not interchangeable in this respect, so check the manual before you load anything.
Worth knowing before you buy: The Pro does not operate while it is plugged in and charging. Charge it during the day so it is ready for the night.
Five levels: Begin at level 1. The extra range at the top is there for the worst nights, not for routine use.
Saline first: Thick or dried mucus needs thinning before any aspirator can shift it. Spray, wait a moment, then suction.
If suction drops off: Check the umbrella valve is present, clean and properly seated, look for a clog in the nosepiece or hose, and make sure the nosepiece is sealing against the nostril.
