Frida makes several saline formats and they are not interchangeable. This is the inhaler, the one that produces the finest mist of the group.
How it differs from the sprays: The Snot Spray lays larger droplets across the front of the nose for a quick loosen. The Saline Mist is finer and carries further back. The Mist Inhaler makes the finest mist of the three and is breathed in over a session rather than sprayed in a burst, which is what lets it reach deepest.
How long a can lasts: It is built for roughly 1.5 hours of continuous mist. Run about five minutes a session and that lands near 18 sessions from one can. Worth knowing before you decide between this and a spray.
Using the mask: The mask is included and the inhaler works with or without it. For a baby who twists away from a nasal spray, a mask session is usually the easier route, and it lets the mist do the work without anything going up a nostril.
Where it fits in the routine: Saline first, then suction. Thinning dried mucus is what gives an aspirator something to draw out, and skipping it is the usual reason nothing comes out.
Care: Wipe the tip and the mask clean after each use and let them dry. Keep one per child rather than passing a single one around the household.
