Six months in, there are barely any teeth. By two, brushing is a twice-a-day negotiation. This set covers both ends of that.
Stage one, the baby brush: Food-grade silicone bristles on a BPA-free silicone handle. Start oral care habits at 6 months and up, working gently over the gums and any first teeth while your baby holds the handle and you do the real work.
Stage two, the toddler brush: The triple-angle head wraps three sides of a tooth in a single pass. Toddler brushing sessions are short. This brush is for ages 2 and up, so it can sit in the drawer until your little one grows into it.
Brushing, not chewing: Both brushes are for brushing. Sit down with your child, put your hand over theirs, and move the brush along the gum line tooth by tooth. When you are done, the brush goes back in the drawer rather than out with the toys.
When to swap the toddler brush: Its bristles change from blue to white. Faded bristles mean it is time to toss that one and open a fresh brush.
What you get: 1 stopper and 2 toothbrushes. Rinse both after brushing and stand them up to air-dry. Check the pack for anything else the manufacturer specifies about cleaning.
