An over-the-counter astringent liner for the perineal area, sold in a resealable tub.
What it is for: Temporary relief of pain, swelling, irritation, burning and discomfort. Witch hazel 50% is the active ingredient. Read the Drug Facts panel on the tub before use and follow the directions there.
How to use it: Lift one liner out, lay it along the top of the pad you are already wearing, cool side up, and close the lid straight away. The liners sit between you and the pad, so you get the witch hazel without giving up any absorbency.
Keeping them from drying out: The tub is resealable for a reason. Left open, the liners at the top dry first. Press the lid fully shut after every single one, and store the tub as directed on the packaging.
About the sting: The formula contains alcohol and peppermint oil. On intact but sore skin that reads as cooling. On a fresh tear, a stitched perineum or otherwise broken skin it can sting or burn instead. If your skin is sensitive, or if you have stitches, an open wound or a repaired tear, check with your healthcare provider before using them and stop if irritation gets worse.
Warnings: For external use only. Do not use in or near the eyes. If the condition worsens, or does not improve within seven days, stop use and ask a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. The full Uses, Warnings and Directions are on the Drug Facts panel.
